Roanne (Baker) Albertyn

Roanne is an Investment Executive at Takura Capital in Zimbabwe. Previously, Roanne was an Investment Associate of an Environment Fund, Roanne oversaw the funds’ SADC interests. Driving projects to financial close through active executive involvement in the projects and companies and raising debt and equity from premium DFI’s, International Banks and Local Country Banks.

Originating from the corporate sphere, Roanne has held various senior general and financial management positions in London, Zimbabwe and South Africa across the retail, packaging, logistics and recycling sectors, which include holding a number of management positions on JSE listed companies. Roanne’s focus was on mergers and acquisitions.

Roanne has transacted on investments in multiple jurisdictions including, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique and Mauritius.

She holds a Masters of Business Administration (Rhodes University), thesis on “The Barriers to Renewable Energy: A South African Investment Perspective”, ESSAM, Arhus Business School, Denmark (first African full scholar student), Bachelor of Business Administration (UNISA) and Higher National Diploma in Information Technology (NCC).
